I purchased this vehicle from a fellow who was trading it in for a 1972 Mercury, Cougar. He had just had his first child and needed a larger vehicle. I asked him how much the dealer was giving him for his vehicle. He told me and I offered him a hundred dollars more and that I would pay the difference in the sales tax. We made the deal. It was one of the best deals I've ever made. The fellow has tried to purchase it back for a number of years now. | |

Problems started showing up, and I eventually gathered that, along with two others, had been stolen off the Galveston shipyard, taken for a joyride, and turned overe on the seawall. Mercy! | |
