Yes, unfortunately the car was lost to Superstorm Sandy. There was 24" of water in the garage. I will miss this car, it was truely a great original car (except for paint). Joe

Ebay item 6/3/17
www.ebay.com/itm/1969-Jaguar-E-Type-/292138610680
Car has a buy it now price of $22,000 for 20 days, seller 345569cars, car now said to be in Billings, Montana, 51k miles.

Sellers description:
1969 XKE 2+2 Coupe with automatic transmission, numbers matching car. I purchased this car in 2012 for parts needed for another 4 speed xke. This car had been previously restored so I exchanged it's better seats and other parts with the 4 speed car. This body shows to be in very good shape as floors, trunk and overall body condition with no rust showing for the last five years. This car will be missing the front break calipers, passenger tail light, steering wheel horn cap and housing, dash pad (front section), air cleaner, front carpet, head light assemblies left and right, all front inner wheel well splash shields (engine compartment), and several other items. June 1st, 2017, I put a complete distributor from another car and tried to start the engine and got it to backfire a few times, then replaced it with a distributor with no points or condenser. This car is being sold "as is". Before I took the original radio out of the car, it worked, and the dash lights still work along with the fuel pump.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
