Car is being restored as time allows. This car was sold to Hertz and the second owner worked for 20th Century Fox. I got it from the 3rd owner. It was repainted several times although no serious damage was found when we tanked it. It may have been a movie car early in life.

I was going to sell the car if I got my price. Flying, as a hobby, is eating up my free time. Since it did not sell, I decided to finish the car. I will post detail and photos over the next week or so.

James sold this car to me in March 2011. I was working on a S2 FHC that proved to be beyond my skills to restore the bodywork. James has done a lot of the restoration work including bodywork and front suspension. I am going to complete it.

I am approaching the end of the 3+ year restoration on this car. I have all of the drive train in and working awaiting brake bleeding for a test drive. FInal bonnet assembly (lights and bumpers) needed and she is done. July 2014

Bettie has been reunited with her original number matching (RA1453-9) 3.8 liter motor. Rebuilt at Coventry West in 2019 and installed in January 2020. While the motor and gearbox were out, I took this time to clean up the engine bay and undercarriage. Installing a custom alternator bracket and adjuster made for the 3.8 block by Jagboy Enterprises (aka Ray Livingstone). I already had Ray's EDIS installed on the 4.2 motor I was running so it was reinstalled onto the 3.8. I hope to have her back on the road by Feb 2020.
