This 1963 Jaguar XKE Series I roadster was modified under prior ownership with a Ford 289ci V8, a Hurst shifter, a hood scoop, and AutoMeter gauges. The car is finished in red over black leather and is equipped with a four-speed manual transmission, a limited-slip differential, a black soft top, a soft top boot, enclosed headlights, 15″ wire-spoke wheels, power-assisted disc brakes, and dual side mirrors. This XKE Series I roadster was acquired by the seller in 2025 and is now offered with a car cover and a clean Texas title in the seller’s name.

The Series I E-Types were equipped with covered headlights and taillights mounted above the chrome rear bumpers. This example is finished in red and was repainted approximately five years ago. A black hood scoop has been added, and additional equipment includes a black soft top, a soft top boot, enclosed headlights, a louvered clamshell hood, wraparound chrome bumpers, bright trim, dual side mirrors, triple windshield wipers, and dual exhaust outlets. The seller notes that the hood could use adjustment, the wipers work intermittently, the exterior passenger door handle does not work, there is a rock chip in the windshield, and there are various chips and scratches on the body. there are prior mounting holes on the trunk lid.

The 15″ wire wheels are secured by two-eared knock-offs and are mounted with Star Skytrak II tires measuring 205/70. Braking is provided by four-wheel discs with inboard-mounted rear rotors.

The cabin features bucket seats trimmed in black leather and fitted with sheepskin-style covers. A Hurst shifter has been added, and the seller recommends reupholstering the seats.

The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames AutoMeter gauges, including a GPS-based 160-mph speedometer and 8k-rpm tachometer, while auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and amperage are located in the center of the dashboard. The fuel level gauge does not work, and the digital odometer shows 3 miles. Total mileage is unknown.

The 289ci V8 was installed under prior ownership and features tubular headers, Ford Racing valve covers, and a remote oil filter. Cooling is via an aluminum radiator.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a Moss four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
