This right-hand-drive 1964 Jaguar XKE coupe was manufactured on February 5, 1964, and was acquired by the current owner in 1984. The car is powered by a 3.8-liter inline-six paired with a Tremec five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential, and it is finished in Opalescent Dark Green over Red leather upholstery. Equipment includes a sliding canvas sunroof, glass-covered headlights, 15″ wire-spoke wheels, Wilwood disc brakes, GAZ adjustable rear shocks, and triple SU HD8 carburetors. The car was repainted and the engine was rebuilt in 2018, while the interior was retrimmed in 2022. This Series I E-Type is now offered on dealer consignment by a BaT Local Partner with a Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate, service records, British DVLA registration plates, the removed factory four-speed manual transmission, and a Delaware title.

The car left the factory finished in Opalescent Gunmetal and was repainted in its current shade of Opalescent Dark Green in 2018. Exterior details include a sliding canvas sunroof, a louvered clamshell hood, glass-covered headlights, dual exhaust outlets, and wraparound chrome bumpers. A British registration plate reading EME 1 B is affixed to the front of the clamshell. Paint chips are noted around the body, and delamination is visible on the left side of the hood near the windshield.

The 15″ wire wheels were mounted with 185-section Michelin XVS tires in March 2021. The front and rear suspension systems were rebuilt in 2018, at which time GAZ adjustable coilovers were fitted at the rear. Additional chassis and steering work involved replacing the tie rod ends and shock mounting bushings, as well as performing an alignment with replacement caster shims. Braking is provided by four-wheel discs with Wilwood calipers and inboard-mounted rear rotors. The braking system was refurbished in 2018 with a rebuilt master cylinder, a replacement brake servo, vented rear brake rotors, braided brake lines, and a remote brake bleeder, while the rear parking brake boot was replaced in 2025.

The right-hand-drive cabin features bucket seats that were reupholstered in Red leather in 2022. Additional work at that time included installing sound deadening and retrimming the center console, dashboard, armrest, door panels, rear trim panels, and headliner to match. Appointments include color-coordinated carpets, black vinyl dash trim, a Tremec shift knob, aftermarket speakers, and a heater. The heater switch, heater core, heater gaskets, underdash casing, and heater fan switch were replaced between 2020 and 2021, and three-point seat belts were installed in 2023.

The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5,500-rpm redline, while auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and amperage are mounted in the center of the dashboard. The instruments were refurbished in 2020, which involved repairing the speedometer mounting, replacing the instrument lens seals and bulbs, and rebuilding the tachometer, speedometer, and voltage stabilizer. The five-digit odometer shows 64k miles, approximately 2k of which were added under current ownership.

The 3.8-liter inline-six was rebuilt in 2018 by Alderman Automotive Machine of New Castle, Delaware. Work involved machining the block, crankshaft, and cylinder head, installing oversized pistons, and replacing a camshaft, bearings, thrust washers, valves, valve guides, valve springs, timing chains, and tensioners. Additional work at that time included replacing the radiator and water pump, rebuilding the oil pump and harmonic damper, and replacing the engine mounts and a front frame section. A Pertronix Flame-Thrower ignition was installed in 2019. The fuel tank gaskets and hoses were replaced in 2020; the spark plugs, intake manifold gaskets, carburetor gaskets, and water rail gaskets were replaced in 2021; the cam cover gaskets and thermostat housing return fittings were replaced in 2022; and the carburetor cable was replaced in 2023. The oil filter housing is seeping.

The engine block stamping matches the number on the Jaguar certificate. The cylinder head stamping does not match.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The clutch release bearing, fork, pivot, fork boot, hydraulic hose, return spring, and clutch slave cylinder were replaced in 2018. The removed factory Moss four-speed manual gearbox is included in the sale.

The Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate indicates a manufacture date of February 5, 1964, and lists original colors and identification numbers. Over $42k in service records will also accompany the car.
