Recent £20,000 restoration
Estimate: (£) 28,000 - 32,000

Chassis Number: 1S51518BW
Engine Number: 7S8940S13
Body Colour: B.R.G.
Trim Colour: Beige
MOT ExpiryDate: Oct 2014

'MYH 470L' is finished in the very attractive combination of British Racing Green with Beige leather upholstery that's piped in Green and complemented by Green carpets. This handsome 'home market' Series 3 E-Type has recently been the subject of a circa £20,000 restoration that included: a bare metal respray; re-trimmed seats, headlining and carpets; rechromed wire wheels and bumpers; new exhaust and brakes; and a full service. As a result the vendor not surprisingly now views the car's bodywork and interior as "excellent/perfect" and the paintwork, 5.3-litre V12 engine and three-speed automatic transmission as "excellent". The Jaguar's odometer currently displays 74,370 miles which the vendor warrants due to the "huge history file of paperwork and old MOTs". Also included is a photo CD detailing the restoration work, tax valid until the end of June 2014, MOT into October 2014, and even an original Jaguar picnic basket!

Registration MYH 470L

VIN 1S51518BW

This Jaguar E-Type Series 3 V12 2+2 FHC is an elegant classic British grand tourer, presented in a handsome colour scheme and reportedly retaining its factory matching numbers.

It is powered by a naturally aspirated 5.3-litre V12 engine, coupled with a three-speed automatic transmission driving the rear wheels.

First registered in January 1973, this example has been with the seller for 10 years.

The odometer indicates 77,853 miles, though this is not warranted.

Equipment and features

This E-Type Series 3 V12 2+2 FHC is finished in the iconic shade of British Racing Green, over a Biscuit leather-trimmed interior, featuring a contrasting black dashboard and green carpets and seat piping.

It rides on a set of 15-inch chrome cross-spoke wire wheels with two-spoke knock-offs, fitted with Dunlop tyres.

Equipment includes a three-spoke steering wheel, Smiths gauges, a Kienzle analogue clock, and heater and ventilation controls.

This example has been fitted with a modern retro-style stereo.

Accompanied by the V5C, various Jaguar Driver's Club valuation certificates, a sales and service booklet, three files of paperwork, a Martin Robey parts catalogue, the Jaguar Heritage Trust Production Record Trace Certificate, and two keys.

Condition

The most recent MOT test was on 21 August 2026 at an indicated 77,848 miles, which resulted in a first-time pass with no advisories.

Service history

The car was most recently serviced in July 2022 at an indicated 77,591 miles by Revivals, which included an engine oil and filter change.
