This 1969 Jaguar XKE Series II roadster is said to have been acquired new by the current owner’s spouse in 1969 and remained with the family since. The car was repainted in Pale Primrose approximately 10 years ago and features a black convertible top along with a louvered clamshell hood and wraparound chrome bumpers. It rides on 15″ wire wheels with three-ear knock-offs and is further equipped with an independent suspension and four-wheel disc brakes. Inside, black leather–trimmed seats are accompanied by a wood-rimmed steering wheel and an aftermarket stereo. Power is supplied by a 4.2-liter inline-six equipped with dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors, while shifting is through a four-speed manual gearbox linked with a limited-slip differential. This XKE roadster is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with a top boot, a tonneau cover, and a clean Maryland title in the owner’s name.

The car was repainted in its current Pale Primrose finish approximately 10 years ago, according to the seller. It is fitted with a replacement black soft top, and further details include a louvered clamshell hood, a driver-side mirror, wraparound chrome bumpers, and dual exhaust outlets. A paint blister is noted on the edge of the driver-side door.

The 15″ wire wheels are secured by three-eared knock-offs. The wheels are mounted with Vredestein Sprint Classic tires, and a full-size spare is stored in the trunk. The car is equipped with an independent suspension, and braking is handled by four-wheel discs with inboard-mounted rear units.

The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in black leather along with a color-coordinated dash, center console, door panels, and carpets. A Sony CD/MP3 receiver is connected to Polk speakers mounted on either side of the center stack, and further interior appointments include a sliding rear-view mirror, a heater, and a locking glovebox.

The wood-rimmed steering wheel features drilled spokes and frames Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5k-rpm redline as well as an analog clock and gauges for voltage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer is said to have rolled over and now shows 43k miles.

The 4.2-liter inline-six was factory equipped with dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors and rated at 246 horsepower and 263 lb-ft of torque when new. The fuel pump was replaced in preparation for the sale.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual gearbox and a limited-slip differential.

The current Maryland title lists a 147,043-mile odometer reading.
