This 1969 Jaguar 'E' type 2+2 has the 4200 cc engine and the manual four speed gearbox. It was originally exported to the United States of America and upon its return was fully restored by the present owner and vendor and was at the same time converted from right hand drive to left hand drive format.
It is now finished in Red with Beige trim and it is a lovely car in very good condition throughout and it comes with a current M.O.T. until March of next year. These cars are still, rather surprisingly, very underated as they are far more practical and certainly to anyone with a family.
The photograph is of a similar car.

Enough has been written about the legendary E type and every time one comes into the showroom your heart still drops with the magnificence of the design and beautiful shape.

This example was supplied new in 1969 in the USA and came back to Blighty in 1991.

She was then restored and converted to RHD.

Finished in red from new with beige leather and presenting beautifully still the last owner cherishing her for 11 years.

The condition is commensurate with her enjoying ongoing maintenance and the originality is lovely to behold with many parts surviving well.

The plus 2 has a practicality others in the range have not, allowing the driver to carry his kids in the rear and still have plenty of remaining luggage/ shopping space!

On the road, the E type is still amazing and it must have been like jumping into a Supersonic Fighter Jet when they were new in the early 1960s!

This one is ready for use and would be a terrific car to cruise around Europe and enjoy.

Supplied fully inspected, serviced with 12 months warranty.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
