Ebay item 9/27/19
www.ebay.com/itm/1969-Jaguar-E-Type-XKE/133184522341
Car has a buy it now price of $89,900 for 29 days, seller leftcoastclassics, 200 miles reported.

Seller's description:
Stunning, freshly restored 1969 Jaguar XKE E-Type FHC for sale. A handsome Fixed Head Coupe finished in Signal Red with black interior.

Car Number: 1R26555
Body Number: 4R21890
Engine Number: 7R5987-9
Transmission Number: KE6195

This beautifully restored E-Type offers the best of both worlds. A beautiful, high-quality nut/bolt restoration of a number matching car but upgraded to tri-carburation and a Trimec 5-Speed manual with the original 4-speed transmission included. The rebuilt engine starts; runs and drives beautifully. No expense has been spared. As the photos show, everything mechanically has been gone through, restored or replaced. Suspension, braking, and exhaust are all fresh.

The exterior is freshly restored. The already very nice, original needed very little. It was completely stripped to bare metal and beautifully finished in PPG code 73145 Jaguar Signal Red. All of the chrome, trim, rubber was either restored to showroom condition or replaced with SNG Barret replacements. The windscreen and rear window are new. It has new wheels purchased in 2014 with only 200 miles that are wrapped in Redline Michelin X 185-15's. The exterior is truly beautiful and in show condition.

The interior was mostly restored in 2014 with new leather, rugs, panels and more. It has a correct Philips AM/FM Shortwave radio in working condition. Everything in the car is in working, tach rebuilt, clock updated, etc condition (though we are told that the rear window defroster is currently not operational).

This is a stunning, beautifully and thoughtfully restored Xke that has been set up to drive and show.

I purchased this car in November 2019 in Cotati, California. The restoration work was spearheaded through British European Motors. The car was originally black exterior with a red interior but was switched during the restoration to red exterior and black interior. The tremec 5 speed and 3 SU carburetors were added during the restoration. Other than that the car is stock and numbers matching. Having owned another XKE I can tell that this car was extremely well sorted. The owner of British European was a pleasure to deal with.

This 1969 Jaguar E-Type Series II Coupe was restored by British European Motors of Cotati, California, between 2014 and 2019. The car is finished in Signal Red over black leather upholstery and is powered by a rebuilt 4.2-liter inline-six paired with a Tremec five-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes 15″ chrome wire wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, triple SU carburetors, a big-bore exhaust system, and a Philips AM/FM/SW radio. Acquired by the seller in 2020, this E-Type Series II is now offered with a Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate, a window sticker, an owner’s manual, refurbishment records, a car cover, spare parts, and a Texas title in the seller’s name.

During the build the body was stripped, the underside was treated with a rock-guard coating, and the exterior was refinished in Signal Red. The engine frames and firewall were media-blasted and color-matched at that time, and a replacement frame rail sourced from Welsh Enterprises was integrated during the front-structure preparation. The tinted windshield, rear window, hood hardware, and weatherstripping were also replaced.

Chrome 15″ wire wheels are mounted with 185-section Michelin X redline tires. The front and rear suspension subframes were powder-coated during the build, and the upper and lower A-arm bushings, ball joints, sway bar links, and rear shock absorbers were replaced. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes with inboard-mounted rear rotors. The brake booster, master cylinder, rotors, pads, and stainless-steel flex lines were replaced, the calipers were rebuilt, and the steering rack and tie rod ends were replaced.

The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in black leather along with color-coordinated door panels and carpets. The seat rollers and the driver-side tilt ratchet were replaced, and aftermarket three-point seatbelts were installed. The electrical system was replaced using reproduction main, dash, bonnet, and body wiring harnesses, and the heater core, control valve, and stainless-steel vacuum pipes were replaced.

Smiths instrumentation includes a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer. The tachometer was repaired and updated with a modern circuit board, and the ignition switch, turn signal switch, and brake warning relay were replaced. Centrally mounted auxiliary gauges monitor voltage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 60k miles, approximately 250 of which were added under current ownership.

The 4.2-liter inline-six was rebuilt, the timing chains, head studs, and rear main seal were replaced, and a spin-on oil filter adapter was installed. The induction system was converted to a triple SU carburetor setup with a solid-core choke cable and custom throttle linkages. The fuel tank was boiled and lined, and the sending unit, filter, and lines were replaced. The cooling system was overhauled, and the thermostat, housing, hoses, and water pipe connectors were replaced.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a Tremec five-speed manual transmission. A 9.5″ clutch kit, a pilot bushing, and a clutch master cylinder were installed along with a big-bore exhaust system featuring exhaust manifolds that were ceramic-coated by Performance Coatings, Inc. of Jonesboro, Georgia. The rear differential was detailed and resealed, and the rear wheel bearings were replaced.
