We are extremely proud to present this exceptional opportunity to acquire what is undoubtedly one of the finest and most comprehensively restored Australian-delivered 1970 Jaguar E-Type Series 2 4.2L Manual Fixed Head Coupes available today. The first time an Glenn Olsen restored E-type goes to public market, mainly moving quietly off market with the Jaguar fraternity so a great opportunity here. This remarkable example was the subject of an open-chequebook, ground-up restoration by renowned Australian Jaguar E-Type specialist Glenn Olsen Jaguar E-Type Restorations, undertaken over three years between 1997 and 2000 to the workshop's exacting standards.

Almost 30 years after completion, this extraordinary E-Type remains in exceptional condition and is being offered for the first time in this presentation. Glenn Olsen's restorations are renowned internationally for their meticulous attention to detail, period correctness and uncompromising standards. Only a very limited number of E-Types were restored under this programme, with this example being Glenn Olsen E-Type Restoration #08 of only 25 cars produced.

Finished in stunning Regency Red acrylic over a beautifully appointed Charcoal leather interior, this genuine right-hand-drive example presents exactly as a serious collector would hope to find one. The car was delivered new in Australia to a doctor in Brisbane, who retained it for approximately five years before selling it to an Army field officer. Manufactured in June 1970, this is a genuine matching-numbers Australian-delivered Series 2 Fixed Head Coupe, chassis #839 of just 1,070 RHD Series 2 FHC examples produced worldwide.

The restoration extended far beyond a conventional cosmetic refurbishment. The body was comprehensively prepared, painted and finished, with the chrome work meticulously hand-finished. The engine, rear end, front suspension, braking system and virtually every major mechanical component were comprehensively rebuilt, with the objective of returning the entire car to an as-new standard while retaining the originality, character and engineering integrity of the original E-Type.

Only approximately 4,000 miles have been travelled since the restoration was completed, with the car subsequently maintained by Glenn and Andrew Olsen, further reinforcing its exceptional provenance plus being with her last custodian for more then 4 decades. Approximately ten years ago, an integrated air-conditioning system was discreetly installed to provide modern touring comfort while remaining sympathetic to the character of the car. Importantly, the original factory heater box is retained and accompanies the vehicle.

Today, this E-Type represents a rare combination of attributes: Australian delivery, genuine RHD specification, matching numbers, exceptionally limited production, world-class restoration provenance, extremely low post-restoration mileage and continued specialist maintenance by the very people responsible for its restoration.

Cars of this calibre are becoming increasingly difficult to replicate. The restoration can never be repeated, and the opportunity to acquire an individually numbered Glenn Olsen E-Type #08/25 is exceptionally rare.
