1969 E-Type Series 2, Fixed Head Coupe (FHC), seats 2. Original Right hand drive, matching numbers 4.2l engine and chassis along with 4 speed gearbox and LSD. Accompanied by Jaguar Heritage Certificate (pictured). Exterior & Restoration: - Late 2010's rotisserie restoration included bare metal preparation of every part of the car, where any body repairs were needed, they were made with new metal. Every nut and bolt was zinc plated and the car painted inside, underside and out in its original Colour red. - Such was the workmanship and attention to detail during its restoration.., all panel gaps, door jams and vehicle lines are perfect. - A recent paint correction was carried out and replacement PPF (clear film) re-applied to the bonnet. Wheels, Tyres, Brakes & Suspension: - Stiffer adjustable torsion bars along with adjustable Koni Classic shock absorbers, tuned to provide terrific neutral handling and a perfectly tweaked ride height. - Original spec wire wheels replaced as part of the restoration, now shod with Dunlop Sports tyres, offering predictable handling and stable comfort. - Brakes have all been recently rebuilt along with new ball joints and fresh gearbox oil. The car runs a Limited Slip Differential upgrade from a Jaguar XJS. Engine: - When the original matching numbers engine was rebuilt, the expensive process of machining and inserting head gasket retainers into the deck was carried out as an essential upgrade to prevent head gasket failure of the 4.2 litre engine. - Standard size bore liners were used in conjunctions with stronger upgraded, series 3 conrods, pistons and larger inlet valves. The original triple SU carburettors remain and have recently been adjusted and balanced. - The Jaguar Specialist who carried out its recent service work was heard to comment to his staff that the only thing wrong about this car is that it is so good it is nearly too good. On a test drive the 4 speed manual gearbox was noted by a mechanic as being one of the best he's ever driven. - The car won't ever overheat in traffic or when driven on hot days. It has always maintaining a normal operating temperature and an oil pressure around the 60 psi. - A wonderful burble is emitted on the over-run, when lifting off over 2000rpm and at higher revs such as when changing back down gears to engine brake, crackles and pops from the straight piped exhaust. - The car has had very little use since its rebuild and careful run in period. Interior: - The interior trim is magnificent in black and blemish free, with extra insulation under the carpet - The original radio and speakers are supplied along with the original handbook and a large service folder. Everything works in the car and on the dashboard. Even the original Jaguar clock tells the correct time twice a day ??. History: - Originally delivered, new, in the UK (1969), before coming to Australia just 2 years later, where it has been since. - Previous long term owner of the car was a well known executive member of the Jaguar car club and worked in the Jaguar industry for many years. He personally undertook all of his own servicing on the car. The quality of this vehicle makes it a must see for anyone in the market for a classic car or Jaguar enthusiast. Please note, current Qld registration plate '69XKE' is not included with the vehicle sale, however is available to be negotiated separately.

    Dealership Sale: - Located in (Brisbane's inner-north)
