Seller’s description (edited): Matching numbers with books. Built October 1969, delivered into Sydney and sold new by Bryson Industries NSW. Factory Signal Red with Beige trim and optioned when new with Chrome Wire Wheels. Older restoration but in exceptional condition with no rust, and lovely mechanicals. Paint is excellent but has some small imperfections. Four owners from new. First owner Konstantin (Ken) Sluz purchased the car after winning the Sydney Opera House lottery in 1969. He was 21 years old. Ken took delivery on 19 May 1970. His parents’ house in Croydon was noted as the delivery address. The car went immediately to Canberra where Ken was living with his grandparents, and two weeks after taking delivery a photo was taken in the street at the Civic Centre Canberra. This photo is now in the National Archives. The second owner purchased the E Type in 1976 and kept it for over 40 years, followed by a collector then the current owner. A strong no fuss E-type that starts first time, does not miss a beat, will run all day in any weather, has great oil pressure and everything works. Has original tool roll, jack, books and manuals.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
