This delightful Jaguar was originally supplied in 1966 by the Scottish dealer P S Nicholson of Forres. The car is finished in Opalescent Silver Blue coachwork with a retrimmed contrasting dark blue leather interior. The brightwork is in good order as is the dashboard. This rare Series I example is fitted with its original engine and, at some point, has had a gearbox change from automatic to the much more desirable manual transmission. Our Jaguar enthusiast vendor has recently undertaken a recommissioning of this Series I which included work to the engine and braking system with new rear brakes, a new aluminium radiator and thermostat, new spark plugs and he says the car now runs ‘perfectly’. In fact, although exempt by virtue of age, this Jaguar has a fresh MoT test certificate. On a recent test the engine started first time and good oil pressure is maintained. This most classic British car is offered to auction with a V5 registration document, a Heritage Certificate and a service manual.
