This 1967 Jaguar XKE Series I coupe was purchased by the seller in 2011 and then restored between 2011 and 2017. It is powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six and finished in Opalescent Dark Blue over red leather. The car is equipped with a five-speed manual transmission, a limited-slip differential, enclosed headlights, a louvered clamshell hood, 15″ wire-spoke wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, adjustable GAZ shocks, an aluminum radiator, triple windshield wipers, and a heater. This XKE Series I coupe is now offered in Texas with a Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate, an owner’s manual, over $180k in service receipts, restoration photos, porcelain-coated exhaust manifolds, a car cover, a jack, a Talbot Yorck side-view mirror, and an Arizona title in the seller’s name.

The Series I E-Types were equipped with covered headlights and taillights mounted above the chrome rear bumpers. This example left the factory finished in Willow Green and was repainted in Opalescent Dark Blue in 2013 by Hi-Speed Rods & Customs following rust repairs and bodywork. Additional equipment includes a louvered clamshell hood, bright trim, a driver-side mirror, triple windshield wipers, a side-hinged rear hatch, and dual exhaust outlets. The windshield was replaced during the refurbishment, and the hardware was re-plated and powder-coated. A Talbot Yarlock side-view mirror is included in the sale.

The 15″ wire-spoke wheels are secured by two-eared knock-offs and are mounted with 205/75 B.F. Goodrich Silvertown Radial redline tires. The suspension was overhauled in 2017 with adjustable GAZ shocks, polyurethane bushings, and adjusted torsion bars, and the ball joints and upper and lower control arms were replaced. The steering rack was rebuilt in June 2017. Braking is provided by power-assisted four-wheel discs with inboard-mounted rear rotors. The braking system was overhauled during the refurbishment with a rebuilt servo and master cylinders, and the hard lines and reservoirs were replaced. The brake fluid was flushed in preparation for the sale.

Originally beige, the cabin was reupholstered in red leather between 2015 and 2017. The headliner and dash pad were replaced. Interior appointments include black vinyl dash trim, seatbelts, and a heater.

The wood-rimmed steering wheel was installed in 2017 and frames a Smiths 160-mph speedometer and a 6k-rpm tachometer that were rebuilt the same year. Auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and amperage are located in the center of the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 75k miles, approximately 1k of which were added under current ownership. The seller notes that the speedometer and odometer are currently inoperable. Total mileage is unknown.

The 4.2-liter inline-six features a replacement cylinder head and triple SU carburetors. The engine was rebuilt in 2015, which included balancing the rotating assembly and polishing the cylinder head. The carburetors were rebuilt and tuned, the fuel tank was replaced and sealed, and the fuel pump, lines, starter, and wiring harness were replaced. Modifications include an aluminum radiator, an electric cooling fan with a custom shroud, an electronic ignition system, and a performance exhaust header. The oil was changed and the coolant was flushed in preparation for the sale, and the spark plugs were replaced.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The transmission was installed in 2017 along with a lightweight billet aluminum flywheel. The clutch was replaced in 2017. A polished stainless steel exhaust system is also fitted.

The Jaguar Heritage Trust Production Record Trace certificate shows the original colors and drivetrain numbers, as well as the build and dispatch dates.

The Arizona title displays the VIN as J671E33975, which prepends “J67” to the chassis number shown on the vehicle.
