This is the car as it arrived from Classic Jaguar, in better shape than had been promised. There were no issues on this very nice unrestored driver. The 42,000 on the clock is legit, I believe; the condition of the car bears it out.

This 1967 Jaguar XKE Series I coupe is finished in white over black leather and is powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Additional equipment includes triple SU carburetors, aftermarket exhaust headers, 15″ wire wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, a vented hood, a side-opening rear hatch, a wooden shifter, and a Blaupunkt push-button radio. The car was acquired by the owner’s late spouse in 2003, and service in preparation for the sale reportedly included rebuilding the carburetors. This XKE is now offered on dealer consignment in Missouri with an owner’s manual and a clean Illinois title.

The car is finished in white and is believed to have been repainted circa 2003. Equipment includes a vented hood, chrome bumpers, and a side-opening rear hatch. Areas of cracking paint and additional exterior blemishes are viewable in the gallery.

Chrome 15″ wire wheels feature two-eared knockoffs and are mounted with 205/70 Trazano H550-A tires. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes with inboard rear rotors. The selling dealer states the front brakes pulsate when in use.

The bucket seats are upholstered in black leather, and cabin equipment includes a wood shift knob and a Blaupunkt radio.

The leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer. Supplementary gauges are situated within the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 56k miles. Total mileage is unknown.

The twin-cam 4.2L inline-six is equipped with aftermarket exhaust headers and a trio of SU carburetors. The selling dealer states the carburetors were rebuilt and an oil change was performed in preparation for the sale.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.

The car number is 1E33717, and the VIN on the current Illinois title is J671E33717.

Car returns to BaT

bringatrailer.com/listing/1967-jaguar-e-type-coupe-3/

Seller: WTDickey

Location: Louisville, Kentucky

Chassis: 1E33717

58k Miles Shown, TMU

4.2-Liter Inline-Six

Four-Speed Manual Transmission

Limited-Slip Differential

White Paint

Black Leather Upholstery

15" Wire-Spoke Wheels w/Knock-Off Hubs

Koni Shocks

Wood-Rimmed Steering Wheel

Push-Button Blaupunkt Radio

Triple SU Carburetors

Stainless-Steel Exhaust Headers

Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate

Private Party or Dealer: Private Party

Lot #251089

This 1967 Jaguar XKE Series I coupe spent twenty years with the prior owners before being acquired by the seller on BaT in July 2023. Subsequent work has involved installing an electric cooling fan, replacing the front brake calipers and rotors, mounting Vredestein tires, and more as detailed below. Finished in white over black leather, the car is powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six equipped with triple SU carburetors as well as aftermarket stainless-steel exhaust headers. Shifting is through a four-speed manual transmission linked with a limited-slip differential, while Koni shocks and 15″ wire-spoke wheels are fitted at all four corners. Additional equipment includes a louvered clamshell hood and enclosed headlights along with a wood-rimmed steering wheel and a push-button Blaupunkt radio. This Series I XKE coupe is now offered in Louisville, Kentucky, with a Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate, an owner’s manual, a restoration guide, recent service records, a car cover, and a clean Montana title in the name of the seller’s LLC.

This example left the factory finished in Cream and is believed to have been repainted in its current white finish circa 2003. A louvered clamshell hood, a driver-side mirror, triple windshield wipers, wraparound chrome bumpers, dual exhaust outlets, and a side-hinged rear hatch are additional details. Areas of cracking paint and other blemishes are visible.

The chrome-finished 15″ wire wheels are secured by two-eared knockoffs, while braking is handled by four-wheel discs with inboard rear rotors. The front calipers and rotors were replaced and Vredestein Sprint Classic tires were mounted in September 2023. The car is further equipped with Koni shocks.

The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in black leather along with color-coordinated dash, center, console, door panels, and carpets. Interior appointments include a push-button Blaupunkt radio as well as a wood shift knob, a heater, and lap belts. Dynamat insulation was installed under current ownership.

The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a Smiths 160-mph speedometer and 6k-rpm tachometer, while auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and amperage are located in the center of the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 58k miles, approximately 1k of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.

The 4.2-liter inline-six features triple SU carburetors and was factory rated at 265 horsepower and 283 lb-ft of torque. Aftermarket stainless-steel exhaust headers were added under previous ownership, and the carburetors were reportedly rebuilt in 2023. Work in June 2026 involved installing an electric cooling fan ahead of the radiator, replacing the coolant hoses, and changing the oil and coolant.

The cylinder head stamp reads 7E10868-9.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed synchromesh manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The transmission and differential fluids are said to have been changed ahead of the sale.

The Jaguar Heritage Trust Production Record Trace certificate shows the original colors and drivetrain numbers as well as build and dispatch dates in November and December of 1966, respectively. An owner’s manual, restoration guide, and recent service records are also included in the sale.

Chassis number 1E33717 is shown on the plate above. The sequence is used as the VIN on the title prepended by “J67.”
