This 1966 Jaguar XKE is a Series I fixed-head coupe that was refurbished prior to the owner’s acquisition in 2006. Work reportedly involved repairing and replacing sheet metal, refinishing the car in green, re-trimming the interior in tan leather, installing a five-speed manual transmission and replacement 4.2-liter inline-six, and overhauling the suspension and brakes. Equipment includes 15″ Dunlop alloy wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, adjustable rear coilovers, an electric ignition system, an aftermarket crankshaft, triple Weber carburetors, Magnaflow exhaust mufflers, and air conditioning. Maintenance in 2023 included servicing the carburetors and replacing the rear tires. This Series I XKE is now offered on behalf of its owner with an operating handbook, service records, and a Florida title.
The car was repainted green during the refurbishment, which also included replacing the floor pans and some of the body panels. Exterior details include split bumpers with overriders, covered headlights, a louvered hood, center-mounted dual exhaust outlets, and taillights mounted above the bumpers.
Silver 15″ Dunlop alloy wheels are secured with three-eared knockoffs and are mounted with 205/70 Michelin Radial X tires. The rear tires were reportedly installed in May 2023. The fully independent suspension and four-wheel disc brakes were overhauled during the refurbishment, and the car features damping-adjustable front shocks and height-adjustable rear coilovers.
Interior appointments include tan leather bucket seats, air conditioning, a heater, carpeted floor mats, and wind-up windows. Stains are visible in the carpets near the transmission tunnel, and rust is present on the door jambs.
The wood-rimmed three-spoke steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5k-rpm redline. Gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, amperage, and fuel level are mounted in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 81k miles, approximately 2,500 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The replacement 4.2-liter inline-six was reportedly overhauled and fitted with an aftermarket crankshaft during the refurbishment. Equipment includes triple Weber 45 DCOE carburetors, an electronic ignition, polished valve covers, and a custom airbox. The carburetors were reportedly serviced in May 2023.
A five-speed manual transmission was installed under prior ownership, and the custom exhaust system features Magnaflow mufflers.
The car is titled as a 1967 model, and the number 1E33643 is consistent with it having been built in 1966.
The Florida title also carries an Exceeds Limits odometer notation.

I purchased this car from Florida in 2023 out of the Larry Wilson collection. This 1966 Jaguar XKE is a Series I fixed-head coupe that was refurbished prior to the previous owner’s acquisition in 2006. Work involved repairing and replacing sheet metal, refinishing the car in green, re-trimming the interior in tan leather, installing a five-speed manual transmission and replacement 4.2-liter inline-six, and overhauling the suspension and brakes. Equipment includes 15″ Dunlop alloy wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, adjustable rear coilovers, an electric ignition system, an aftermarket crankshaft, triple Weber carburetors, Magnaflow exhaust mufflers, and air conditioning. Maintenance in 2023 included servicing the carburetors and replacing the rear tires. The rear tires were installed in May 2023. The fully independent suspension and four-wheel disc brakes were overhauled during the refurbishment, and the car features damping-adjustable front shocks and height-adjustable rear coilovers. The wood-rimmed three-spoke steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5k-rpm redline. The five-digit odometer shows 82k miles, approximately 500 added in the last two years - TMU. Equipment includes triple Weber 45 DCOE carburetors, an electronic ignition and polished valve covers. A five-speed Borg Warner manual transmission was installed and the custom exhaust system features Magnaflow mufflers.
I've done further items under my ownership, can provide maintenance summary with accompanying reciepts from myself and previous owner upon request. I have over $150k in records and receipts from myself and the previous owner.
