Sellers description:
This 1967 Jaguar E Type Roadster has had only two Southern California owners since new, and it has travelled only 25,900 miles since new! Both of these astonishing statements can be documented by Jaguar heritage certificate, work receipts, and old registration slips!
It has been beautifully cared for in a collector's garage, sharing space with Ferraris, Bugattis and Packards.
It runs and operates beautifully, a pleasure to drive! It has had service work as necessary over the years, including front suspension and brake rebuild, and some other maintenance items. It is ready to get in and enjoy right now.
It's completely rust free, all of the panels fit beautifully, and it is a delightful original car, with much original paint in the original metallic maroon color. There are a couple of places that were spot repainted, but the lacquer paint gives the impression of originality.
The interior is completely original and in excellent condition. The leather on the seats shows a tiny bit of age, but they're still soft and nice, and they bear witness to how well the car has been cared for. The dash is beautiful, the gauges all work, the car is electrically excellent.
It's not a restored car - it's a beautifully preserved and cared for documented low mileage original !
It is excercised sparingly but frequently, it has a clean California title, and it is ready for enjoyment now!

This 1967 Jaguar XKE Series I roadster is finished in Opalescent Maroon over black leather and is powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six linked to a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Equipment includes a black convertible top, a top boot, enclosed headlights, 15″ wire-spoke wheels, Koni shock absorbers, four-wheel disc brakes, triple windshield wipers, and a Blaupunkt AM/FM radio. The current owner purchased the car in 2013. This Series I XKE roadster is now offered in Massachusetts on consignment by the selling dealer, a BaT Local Partner, with a Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate, service records, and a clean Virginia title.
The body is finished in Opalescent Maroon and features a black convertible top with a matching top boot. Equipment includes enclosed headlights, a louvered hood, wraparound chrome bumpers with overriders, a driver-side mirror, triple windshield wipers, and dual exhaust outlets. Work in November 2017 included replacing the windshield gasket, and the wiper motor was repaired in October 2020. A tear is visible in the convertible top.
Chrome-finished 15″ wire wheels are secured by two-eared knock-off spinners and are mounted with 185 Pirelli Cinturato tires. A matching spare is stored in the trunk. Koni shock absorbers were installed in November 2017. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes with inboard-mounted rear rotors. The brake calipers were rebuilt and the fluid was flushed in July 2024.
The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in black leather along with color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Interior appointments include black vinyl dash trim, a sliding rearview mirror, a heater, and a Blaupunkt AM/FM radio.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a Smiths 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5k-rpm redline. Auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and amperage are located in the center of the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 27k miles, approximately 1,100 of which were added under current ownership.
The 4.2-liter inline-six features triple SU carburetors and was factory rated at 265 horsepower and 283 lb-ft of torque. The cooling fan motor was replaced in April 2019, and the seller notes that an auxiliary cooling fan has been fitted. The battery was replaced in October 2020, and service in December 2020 involved tuning the carburetors. The alternator was repaired in August 2022, and the oil was changed in July 2024.
Cylinder head stamping 7E11118-9 is shown in the gallery and matches the number listed on the Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
The Jaguar Heritage Trust Production Record Trace certificate lists the original colors and drivetrain numbers as well as a manufacture date of November 17, 1966.
