Here is a totally unmolested example of the ultimate classic Jaguar OTS. It was restored in 1995 but looks like it was complete last week. The only sign of the age of the restoration is the interior trim. The restorer took liberty with the interior detail by using wood trim pieces for a distinctive look. These are easily returned to original appearance.
The body is superb. The BRG paint is excellent. The power train truly PURRS. Matching number car, totally ready to enjoy or refine to totally original appearance with very minimal work. Great service history in the last three years with Gus at Ken Browne Motors in Toronto.
Get in this car and drive it home, no matter where it is!! Refine it for show purposes, Your Choice!
All offers are gratefully received. We always make every effort to negotiate a good deal.

This 1965 Jaguar XKE is a series I roadster that underwent a multi-year rotisserie refurbishment that was completed in 1995. The car has been refinished in dark green over black leather upholstery, and power is provided by a 4.2L twin-cam inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Additional equipment includes triple SU carburetors, Pertronix electronic ignition, a black soft top, chrome-finished 15″ wire wheels, and a wood-rimmed steering wheel. It was acquired by the seller in 2013, and work has since consisted of rebuilding the carburetors as well as replacing the clutch kit and master cylinder, fuel tank, lower ball joints, distributor, and more. This XKE is offered with a Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate, service records beginning in 2013, photos taken during the refurbishment, and Ontario registration in the seller’s name.
Finished from the factory in Opalescent Golden Sand, the car was stripped to bare metal and placed on a rotisserie before being repainted in its current shade of dark green in the early 1990s. Rust repairs were also performed at that time. Equipment includes a black soft top, headlight covers, dual exhaust outlets, a vented hood, and chrome bumperettes with overriders.
Chrome-finished 15″ knock-off wire wheels are wrapped in 205/70 Michelin Defender tires. The lower ball joints and tie rod boots were replaced in June 2018 and work performed in 2019 included mounting the tires, replacing the left rear hub carrier and bearings, and flushing the brake fluid.
The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in black leather. Equipment includes lap belts, a wood shift knob, and rubber floor mats. The gear lever housing and armrest were reupholstered, a radio blanking plate was installed, and the headlight dip switch was replaced in 2016. A cracked factory-style shift knob is included in the sale.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5k-rpm redline. Auxiliary gauges mounted on the center stack display readouts for water temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and amperage. The odometer was repaired in June 2018, while the fuel level gauge voltage stabilizer and ammeter were repaired in 2016. The five-digit odometer shows 71k miles, approximately 4k of which were added during current ownership. True mileage is unknown.
The 4.2L twin-cam inline-six is equipped with triple side-draft carburetors and is said to have been modified with Isky camshafts during prior ownership. Pertronix electronic ignition and a rebuilt distributor were installed in 2019. Additional work performed during current ownership included replacing the fuel tank in 2016, rebuilding the alternator in 2017, changing the fluids in 2019, and performing a tune-up in 2021. The coating on the exhaust manifolds is cracked.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission. The flywheel was machined and the clutch assembly was replaced along with the hydraulic hoses in February 2016, and a replacement master cylinder was installed in May 2019.
The Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate lists factory colors and identification numbers as well as a completion date of March 22, 1965.
Photos taken during the refurbishment process are included in the sale.
