Sellers description:
Jaguar E Type Series 1 3.8 Litre Roadster, Chassis No 878816 built early 1963. The car is LHD and has been imported back the UK last year. The car was originally Opalescent Light Blue and has matching chassis, engine and body number. The shell needs full restoration: the floors and sills will need replacing and repairs to the doors and boot floor will be required as a minimum. The bulkhead and upper body tub are all sound and the big plus is the bonnet is very good indeed. I have no idea when the engine was last run, better to count on a full rebuild.
The car is for restoration so this is the ideal time to convert it to RHD if you are a UK buyer. I can supply separately the parts for conversion (dash panels, steering rack etc.)
The car will comes with a Heritage Certificate, the Customs entry acceptance note, which confirms that all EU Import Taxes have been paid and the original US Title showing that the vehicle was last registered in Illinois. I have also applied for a Heritage Certificate and also have the original chassis plate.

1962 Jaguar 3.8 E Type Roadster
Manufactured in December 1962, this is originally a LHD car that has been converted to RHD whilst being fully restored.
The car has been kept in its original colours of Opalescent Silver Blue with Black trim and a Black hood.
Every aspect of the car has been restored from the body through to the engine, transmission, differential, suspension and brakes.
The car has had several upgrades fitted - 5 speed gearbox, uprated brakes, uprated torsion bars, uprated heater motor, uprated headlights, aluminium radiator, electric cooling fan and a stainless steel exhaust system.
This is a great car to drive and is in excellent condition having covered just 500 miles since being restored.
