This 1971 Jaguar XKE coupe is a 2+2 model that reportedly was sold new in California, and the seller acquired it out of Arizona from the second owner in 2014. The seller had the 5.3-liter V12 rebuilt by Team CJ Works of Austin, Texas, and power is sent to the rear wheels via a three-speed automatic transmission. The seller also commissioned a repaint in Signal Red over a reupholstered Cinnamon leather interior and had the rear subframe and differential refurbished. The car is equipped with Wilwood front brakes, dual electric fans, air conditioning, a vintage-look stereo, and 15″ wire wheels. This XKE is offered with records from the seller’s ownership and a clean Texas title.

The exterior was originally brown, and the seller commissioned a color change to Signal Red in 2017; the underhood supports and the spare-tire well retain the factory color. The body rubber has been replaced, and the car has US-market bumpers with overriders as well as US-market lighting with front and rear side markers.

Chrome 15″ wire wheels are mounted with earless knock-off nuts and wear Michelin tires. The car is fitted with Wilwood front brakes, and the rear brakes and all four shocks have been replaced during current ownership. The seller also reports that the steering system has been serviced with a replacement mechanism and power-steering pump.

The seats and the cargo area have been retrimmed in Cinnamon leather, and the carpets and dash pad have been replaced. The seller notes that new interior side panels are included in the sale but have not been installed. The car is equipped with factory air conditioning and a vintage-look aftermarket radio.

A leather-rimmed steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer, while a clock and gauges for voltage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level are positioned above the rocker switches in the center of the dash. 31k miles are shown on the five-digit odometer, approximately 1k of which have been added by the seller.

The 5.3-liter V12 is equipped with four Zenith-Stromberg carburetors and was factory rated at 272 horsepower. The factory distributors have been replaced with an updated unit based around HE V12 internal components, and the seller added twin electric fans. The car is said to have been serviced most recently in March 2020 and is fitted with replacement belts and hoses.

The seller commissioned an engine rebuild by Team CJ Works in 2018. Engine number 7S2552SA matches the corresponding stamping on the chassis tag.

The rear subframe was removed and the rear end was rebuilt and resealed during current ownership.
