Originally finished in regency red, it was delivered to British Leyland New York on 22 April 1971. The first owner in Oregon owned the car from 1971 to 1980. The second owner re-sprayed the car primrose yellow and used it until 1989when it went into storage until 2001. Sold to a British expatriate in September 2001 it moved to North Carolina and was imported into the United Kingdom by him in April 2002. In the UK it was registered VOD171J in May 2002. The car was in Cornwall until 2007 and then sold to the second UK owner in Wet Sussex. In 2015 it was exported to Germany where it was recently for sale with Jurgen Kuhnle of Tiefenbronn still retaining its British registration.

Unsold in Germany the car has returned to the United Kingdom. Listed for sale on the Car and Classic website it is described as having had a recent total re-trim to the highest standard and as being ready to drive away. 52,000 miles £32,500.
