Sold new in America this left-hand drive manual 4.2 Coupe is finished in Primrose with a Black leather interior and is understood to be a matching numbers example. Having received much recent restoration work the Jaguar has also been re-painted in its original colour and the interior re-trimmed including new head lining. Attention has been paid to the mechanics too with the braking system being overhauled and new ball joints plus track rod ends fitted. The vendor informs us the engine was checked over and shows 'good' oil pressure, the gear box inspected and new gaskets fitted plus a new clutch and radiator were added. Riding on new wire wheels and tyres with a stainless steel exhaust system the Jaguar has resided with the British vendor in Spain for the past few years and is offered with Heritage Certificate, collection of invoices and EU import paperwork.
PLEASE NOTE: The heritage certificate confirms the Jaguar was originally issued Coventry registration number 'VWK 129H' before being despatched to British Leyland, New York, USA.

Sold by Arun Independent Jaguar and Performance Car Dealers of Pulborough. Seller's description runs: This vehicle is right hand drive and as the Jaguar Heritage certificate confirms was manufactured by Jaguar Cars and then issued with the Coventry registration of VWK129H. It was then sold via British Leyland New York to Mr Gary A Incuado. This lovely correct number 4.2 litre S2 FHC was as the certificate of title suggests a California state car until 2010 when it was exported to Southern Spain via Gibraltar - she is well travelled!
Whilst in Spain the car was gradually restored over a period of about three years with the following works being carried out to a high standard: all new floors, sills, full stainless steel exhaust, new brakes, new clutch, wiring harness, full re-trim in black leather and new headlining. To complete the restoration the car was re-sprayed in the original colour and treated to new 72 spoke competition style chrome wire wheels.
More recently there has been another round of mechanical works which included reconditioned radiator, radiator fans, and wiper motors, plus new brakes with pistons, pipes, servo and pads, new fuel tank lines and fuel pump. Invoices for parts and labour are on file for these works.
The result is a delightful and exceptionally good looking car that sits squarely with good panel gaps. Engine oil is at 60psi; she drives with a nice surge and no extraneous noises. In comparison to series 1 cars, these well developed series 2 remain extraordinary good value and in our opinion, make a most wise investment choice.
