This 1970 Jaguar XKE Series II coupe is finished in blue over black leather and is powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six linked with a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Equipment includes a louvered clamshell hood, four-wheel disc brakes, 15″ wire wheels, a woodgrain-rimmed steering wheel, and a Sony AM/FM/cassette stereo. The car spent time in Virginia before it was acquired by the selling dealer in 2023. This XKE coupe is now offered at no reserve with a clean Ohio title.
The selling dealer reports that the car was repainted in its current shade of blue at some point under prior ownership. Exterior equipment includes sealed-beam open headlights, a driver-side mirror, wraparound chrome bumpers, bright trim, a louvered clamshell hood, and dual exhaust outlets.
The 15″ wire wheels are secured by three-eared knock-off hubs and are mounted with Vredestein Sprint Classic tires, which were installed in preparation for the sale, according to the selling dealer. Braking is provided by four-wheel discs with inboard-mounted rear rotors.
The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in black leather along with a color-coordinated center console, door panels, and carpets. Interior appointments include a Sony AM/FM/cassette stereo, a wood shift knob, and a locking glovebox. The heater does not work.
The woodgrain-rimmed steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5k-rpm redline. An analog clock and gauges for voltage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level are centrally housed in the dahsboard. The five-digit odometer shows 40k miles, approximately 250 of which were added under current ownership.
The 4.2-liter inline-six was factory equipped with dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors and rated at 246 horsepower and 263 lb-ft of torque when new. The underhood data plate is missing.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
