Ebay item 4/2/12
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1967-Series-1-5-E-Type-Jaguar-/251032450698
Car has a buy it now price of $115,000 for 9 days. 49k miles.
Sellers description:
This stunning example is finished in opalescent silver blue with light blue leather and Wilton wool carpets. The dark blue mohair convertible top is in excellent condition. With only 3 past owners, the mileage is 49,268. It is a matching numbers car which has been authenticated with a Jaguar Heritage Certificate.
The paint and interior were refurbished 5 years ago and are still in exceptional condition. Although completely authentic in external appearance, extensive improvements have recently been made to improve reliability and performance. These include installation of a 5 speed JT5 gearbox with all new clutch components and an aluminum radiator with high speed cooling fans. Electronic ignition has been added along with a gear reduction starter and adjustable torsion bar reaction plate.
The original radio has been upgraded to an Alpine sound system with high output speakers and amplifier which is neatly tucked away in the trunk.
When the engine and gearbox were removed to fit the 5 speed gearbox, all engine seals were replaced along with a new water pump. All aluminum was polished; the engine and cylinder head were painted in the correct colors.
The original gearbox, starter, drive shaft and the complete air conditioning system that was originally fitted is included in the purchase.
This beautiful car turns heads wherever it goes and is a joy to drive. Due to its rarity it is a sound investment and will only appreciate in value as time goes by.
