Advertised for sale at www.princetonlotus.com. 1967 JAGUAR XKE CONVERTIBLE. Silver opalescent blue with blue canvas soft-top and blue leather. The 1967 Jaguar E-Type convertible (known as the XKE in the United States) is the most desired model in the E-Type range. It has the design purity of the early cars including covered headlights and small high tailights, but is superior mechanically. The '67s have the larger 4.2-liter straight six engine and the fully synchromesh 4-speed gearbox that make driving an E-Type so much more enjoyable. This one has its original matching numbers engine and gold cylinder head. This Silver Opalescent Blue XKE is beautifully restored. The paint has only one hairline crack near the edge of the boot lid. Otherwise it is near perfect. The blue leather interior is excellent in every way. A few very sensible updates have been installed; aluminum radiator and header tank for improved cooling, custom stainless steel exhaust headers for lighter weight and improved performance and stainless steel exhaust system for great sound and system longevity. Modern Dunlop tires mounted on Dayton chrome wire wheels ensure this cat is ready to prowl. The Jaguar E-Type is considered by many to be the most beautiful post-war sports car ever made. You will spend a long time looking for a better example than this one. Mileage 49,435. Price $129,000.

Current bid $1,025 reserve not met, 2 bids 9 days left in auction. Buy it now price $119,000.
Note: by Jaguar records this car would not have had closed headlights.
Sellers description:
This car needs nothing. It is ready for “show or go”. The interior is near perfect. The blue canvass soft top is in great condition. The car needs nothing mechanically. The only flaw in the cosmetics is the paint on the trunk lid. A repaint at some time is just perceptible in the right light. Otherwise, the paint and chrome are great. The restoration is several years old and the car has been driven so the odd bolt head has a film of corrosion and the undercarriage should be detailed for show purposes. There is no rust perforation anywhere and it appears that there never was any serious rust.
