Car has a buy it now price of $48,500 for 6 days.

    Sellers description:
    1966 Jaguar XKE Roadster
    Chassis Number 1E12971
    Engine Number 7E8972
Offered is this #3- condition 66’ Jaguar XKE Roadster. Finished in Primrose yellow over black the car reflects an older cosmetic restoration. This was completed in an original Jaguar color combination, but not original to this chassis number. Exact number of owners is unknown; however we do know that the 2nd to last owner was collector Jack Ruscilli (recent owner of the auction record setting Ferrari 250 SWB California Spyder). This is a driver quality example that needs only minor attention to bring it completely up to date. Cosmetically: The paint is in presentable driver quality condition, all glass is present and crack/fade free. Rubber trim is showing its age in some spots, but still presentable and usable. The bright work does have some blemishes but, again, very presentable and does not need immediate attention. The top is newer and in excellent condition. Interior shows some usage but is all there, correct, and functional and appears to be very original in most areas. The engine bay shows the sub frame was previously painted and is somewhat dirty but completely rust free. All body panels appear to be straight with good gaps on the doors, trunk, and bonnet. The car has seen a complete strip and repaint and done correctly at the time as none of the original opalescent silver blue remains under the primrose yellow. However, the engine bay was not fully stripped and the color change is evident there. At this time there was some minor rust repair that was completed, according to the previous owner. Overall the car appears to be rust free with the exception of the left rear valence there is one small rust spot the size of a quarter, but no other issues. Both floors are solid and usable but may have been patched at one point. Spare wheel well and trunk is completely rust free and appears to be original, spare is present, along with jack, some additional parts, and British Heritage Trust Certificate. Mechanically, this is an excellent running, driving, and stopping car. Overall this XKE could be enjoyed as a driver immediately and is an excellent rust free matching numbers example.

Roy Tuggle the original owner of this car, was a pioneer in the modern restaurant business. He cofounded BBF (borden burger)..
The car would have been bought at Byers Jaguar in Columbus, Ohio
