Ebay item 2/17/08
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid $38,000 reserve not met, 1 bid, 4 days left in auction

Sellers description:
1974 Series Three, V-12 Jaguar E Type was the last year this beautiful car was produced. I bought the car two years ago from a Jaguar enthusiast who owned it for 21 years. He originally showed it, but mostly it was stored.

This car has a sable exterior and a biscuit interior which is a really nice combination. It has the manual transmission and optional factory air conditioning and wire wheels. The actual mileage is 44,899 and is backed by maintenance records

After I bought it, I had it completely gone through, with the goal of having a classic Jaguar in super condition that I could drive and enjoy. It has a new clutch, water pump, shocks, rebuilt carbs, belts, hoses, engine mounts, stainless steel exhaust, radiator, tires and many smaller maintenance items.

The car was painted, from bare metal, and had a new interior installed in 1988 by the prior owner in preparation of showing it, and it still looks great. The clock has quit working, as most have; there is a very small crease in the rear passenger fender near the antenna from something falling on it while stored. It is small and does not show well in the pictures. There are also some small chips in the paint as you would expect. Other than that, this is an extremely smooth and solid car that looks a couple years old, not 33.

The car was originally purchased in California, then brought to Cleveland, Ohio, New York, then to Nevada. It has never been driven in the winter or bad weather.

I am selling the car because I recently retired and we are downsizing with plans to travel in an RV for some time. This car should be exercised and enjoyed. Which is all it needs to have done to it.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
