This 1974 Jaguar XKE roadster is finished in silver over red leather, and its numbers-matching 5.3-liter V12 is paired with a four-speed manual transmission. The car is said to have been purchased in California’s Bay Area in 1982 by its previous owner, and the seller acquired the vehicle from the son of that long-term owner in early 2020. Service during the seller’s ownership included rebuilding the steering rack and also replacing the convertible top, some weatherstripping, the tires, and ignition components. Additional features include a removable black hardtop, polished 15″ wheels, aftermarket speakers, and a cassette player. This Series III E-Type roadster is now offered with a Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate and a California title in the seller’s name.

The car was delivered new in Silver and was refinished under previous ownership according to the seller. Features include a replacement convertible top as well as a removable black hardtop. Some worn seals have been replaced by the seller. Imperfections noted by the seller in photos from 2020 and mid-2021.

Polished 15″ wheels wear Jaguar-crest covers and are wrapped in Kumho Solus TA11 tires that show 2020 date codes. The seller states that approximately 100 miles have been added since the tires were mounted, and service in early 2021 included rebuilding the steering rack.

The cabin features bucket seats with Russet red leather upholstery over matching carpeting. Aftermarket speakers have been added, and a Dolby-equipped Jaguar-branded cassette player is mounted in the center stack.

A three-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of Smiths instrumentation that includes a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges that extend across the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 69k miles, approximately 100 of which have been added by the seller.

The 5.3-liter V12 is equipped with quad Zenith carburetors. Service during the seller’s ownership has included an oil change as well as replacing the spark plugs, distributor cap, rotor, and ignition points. The oil was changed in May 2021.

Engine-block stamping 7S14297LA matches the number shown on the data tag affixed to the car and also on the JHT certificate.

Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. Corrosion is noted on some underbody components.

The Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate indicates the factory color scheme, serial numbers, and delivery to New York in December 1973 following a September 12 build date.
