    www.ebay.com/itm/1973-Jaguar-E-Type-2-2/264459581219

Car has a buy it now price of $32,500 for 6 days, seller akhuot, car now said to be in De Pere, Wisconsin, 52k miles.

    Seller's description:

Regrettably listing my 1973 Jaguar Series 3 XKE V12 2+2 to make space in the garage. I've owned the Jag for 4 years. I purchase the car from the 2nd owner who was a business owner in PA.

I've invested quite a bit in the car even though I haven't really put any miles on it while I've owned it. I've added a stainless Quicksilver exhaust, modern tires, modern adjustable shocks, uprated torsion bar, modern ignition as well as many small maintenance items.

The car starts right up, but the strombergs need to be tuned.

The british racing green paint is old and shines, but has many defects. Looks great from a few feet, but is not a show car. The front seats would need to be restored as well. I have new seat covers for the seats, but liked the patina as they currently are. The rear seat and boot leather are both very nice. The headliner is sagging.

The car is solid and would be a great base for someone to continue to restore it or tune it up and enjoy it as is.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
