Ebay item 3/4/20www.ebay.com/itm/1971-Jaguar-E-Type-1971-JAGUAR-E-TYPE-XKE-SERIES-2-COUPE-4-2-LI ...
Car has a buy it now price of $37,500 for 29 days, seller kurttannermotorcars, 24k miles.
Seller's description:
Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this amazingly original E-type two-seater coupe. This car has a believed 24,934 miles from new and was last registered for road use in Pennsylvania in March of 1978. Not much is known past that date except it was stored long term in a private car collection until recently.
The body on this car is in very good condition, hardly showing any rust. Door and trunk hatch fit are excellent. At first glance, the car's paintwork appears convincingly original. Upon close inspection, it may have had an additional thin "blow over" but very early in it's life, sometimes by the selling dealer or even by the factory. Nevertheless, it has a very original feel and look about it and should be saved going forward in this car's life.
The car's interior is entirely original and in very good to excellent overall condition. It's largely undisturbed and wonderfully correct and unmolested, even the carpets, headliner, dash top pad, seat leather, etc. The car still retains all of it's original Triplex glass and the surrounding rubber seals in decent shape. Chrome is very good to excellent on most all pieces.
Mechanically, the car would at least need a complete recommissioning to the braking and fuel systems. We haven't tried much, but the engine is currently in a stuck position from sitting. It may free up with the spark plugs removed and penetrating oils applied to the cylinder bores, with some patience. Usually it's just one stubborn piston that needs the most help to free up. The car still retains 3 of it's original factory-fitted Dunlop tires...
Overall, this lovely original low-mileage Jaguar Coupe has not seen much use or mileage in it's life and would benefit from some simple mechanical work. It should then enjoy life in it's current, well-preserved "survivor" condition and would be an interesting and attractive addition to any car collection.

This 1971 Jaguar XKE Series II coupe was refurbished and modified between 2020 and 2021 and was acquired by the selling dealer in 2025. It is finished in Willow Green over Tan leather and is powered by a rebuilt 4.2-liter inline-six linked with a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Equipment includes a louvered clamshell hood, four-wheel disc brakes, 15″ wire wheels, an aluminum radiator, racing headers, a stainless-steel exhaust system, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, a Kenwood stereo, and an upgraded air-conditioning system. This XKE Series II coupe is now offered by the selling dealer with a car cover, service records, and a Texas title.
The car is finished in Willow Green, and the seller states it was repainted and finished with four coats of clear. The headlights were modified to a Series I-style covered design housing LED halo-style lamps, and the door handles were converted to flush-mounted Tesla-style units. The front and rear bumpers as well as the exterior mirrors were removed, and the rear bodywork was modified to Series I specifications featuring relocated taillights with integrated backup functionality. Additional equipment includes a louvered clamshell hood that was smoothed into a seamless one-piece unit, dual exhaust outlets, and front and rear cameras.
The 15″ wire wheels are secured by safety nuts and are mounted with 205/65 Delinte DH2 tires. Braking is provided by four-wheel discs with inboard-mounted rear rotors. The steering is equipped with an upgraded power-assist system, and GAZ adjustable shock absorbers are fitted.
The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in Tan leather along with a color-coordinated center console, door panels, and carpets. Interior appointments include Kangol front seatbelts, a locking glovebox, an upgraded Sanden air-conditioning compressor, and a Kenwood stereo receiver linked to matching footwell speakers. A rearview-mirror-mounted display monitor is fitted for the exterior cameras.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel features a Jaguar-logo center boss and frames Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5k-rpm redline as well as an analog clock and gauges for voltage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 25k miles. Total mileage is unknown.
The 4.2-liter inline-six is equipped with dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors. Work performed during the 2020-2021 refurbishment included rebuilding the engine and installing an aluminum radiator with an electric cooling fan as well as an upgraded distributor, an upgraded regulator, a rewired ignition system, racing headers, and a stainless-steel exhaust system.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a rebuilt four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
