This 1971 Jaguar XKE is a Series II coupe that was built in September 1970 and subsequently acquired by the seller in 2015. The car is finished in gray over tan leather and powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes chrome wrap-around bumpers, 15″ knock-off wire wheels, air conditioning, and a Sony CD stereo with Bluetooth connectivity. Work performed in preparation for the sale included replacing the alternator and servicing the air conditioning system. This Series II XKE is offered with removed parts and a clean Louisiana title in the seller’s name.

The car was reportedly refinished in gray under previous ownership and features hood louvers, a driver-side mirror, and chrome wrap-around bumpers with overriders. Bubbling paint can be seen on the driver’s door.

Chrome-finished 15″ knock-off wire wheels are wrapped in white-stripe Mastercraft tires. Factory equipment includes an independent rear suspension and four-wheel disc brakes with inboard-mounted rear calipers and discs.

The cabin features seats upholstered in tan leather with a matching center console, door panels, and carpets along with a contrasting black dashboard. Amenities include an air conditioning system converted to R134a that was recently serviced, a replacement wood-rim steering wheel, and a Sony CD stereo with Bluetooth connectivity. Wear and discoloration can be seen on the leather seating surfaces and a factory, larger-diameter steering wheel is included in the sale.

Smiths instrumentation consists of a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer as well as an analog clock and auxiliary gauges in the center of the dash. The five-digit odometer indicates 88k miles, approximately 2k of which have been added during current ownership. True mileage is unknown.

The 4.2-liter DOHC inline-six produced 246 horsepower and 263 lb-ft of torque when new and is fed by dual Stromberg carburetors. The alternator is said to have recently been replaced.

Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission. Corrosion is visible on the exhaust components, and additional underbody photos are presented in the gallery below.

Removed parts are included in the sale.
