    Ebay item 8/28/05

Current bid $2,050.00 (Reserve not met), 6 bids, 6 days left in auction. 22k miles.

    Sellers description:
This is my 1970 Jaguar 4.2L/2+2 coupe with automatic transmission and duel Stromberg carbs. I have had this car for 4 plus years. Previous owner lived in LA area. The car has been kept garaged. When I first acquired the car, I had the steering rack rebuilt and the brakes completely gone through and pads replaced. I replaced the fuel pump 2 years ago. The tires are like new. In July, I had a major tune up which included removal of cam covers and a check of valve clearances, remove front breather, retention upper chain, clean cover and screen. Rebuilt carbs and sync and adjust. Check distributor advance and recurve as needed. Replaced points, cond. and low tension lead, reset base timing and checked advance. The automatic transmission shifts strong. Also new headliner and visors. The car is in very good condition and I would not hesitate to drive it to any location. The factory ac does not work. The bumpers are in need of chrome. The body is sound and has 2 small dents. One on the upper right fender which is hard to see and the second on the left rear above the bumper guard. There is a small cut in the leather below the drivers door. The interior leather is original with some wear but in good condition. The rear deck has a custom built speaker box which easily unplugs and lifts out. The driverside carpet was missing when I got the car and I have a black carpet in its place. The rear carpet behind the drivers seat had some unknown item spilled on it and I am unable to get the stain out. I need to sell the car because I have just purchased a motorhome and must purchase a tow vehicle and I do not have room for 4 cars and a motorhome on my property.
