Hey there fellow xke bidders,here is a great car for sale that I need to sell, not one of those ridiculous, bid if you dare cause I don't need the money cars!!!! I bought this car in Houston from a friend that owns a jaguar shop. He had it there doing some repairs on it. I have owned several e types and I could see that this car had the right ingredients to be a great car,as in Little if any rust,4 speed that shifts great,good clutch,excellent brakes ,great running engine,newer exhaust,good chrome,just a straightforward unmolested car. I am a taller person and I sold my coupe because I couldn't get in and out of it comfortably and decided to find a 2+2 which I really do enjoy a whole lot more. This is a very nice car. I am driving it to my office and home daily !!! How many xke owners can say that? The interior is all original and the leather on the front seats is pretty worn out but it still looks better than some cheapy vinyl redo that you see on here so often,the dash is great with all gauges working properly,the center console and radio console are great but the radio doesn't turn on,all lights burn,door locks work,glass is great,body is straight,etc ,etc
I have owned series 1,2,3 jags and without question the series 2 is by far the best running,easiest to own E Type. This for someone who actually wants to use it not only as an investment but as a regular driver !!! cool huh. Bid with confidence .The paint is about 6 years old and it looks excellent very professional. The only item that needs looked at right now is the ignition switch which feels and acts a little finicky at times This car got 2nd place in the driver class in houston at a JCNA meet a couple years ago and it hasn't gone downhill from that.
