Ebay item 8/17/07

Opening bid $7,500 reserve not met, no bids yet 6 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
I have been driving this Jag for several months.

The engine required very little repair to get it running great. The carbs had to be rebuilt, Altinator rebuilt and a new waterpump.

The automatic transmission shifts smooth. If you floorboard it, it will shift very quick. This Jag has power steering that works really well except it leaks a little through the steering rack. The air conditioning is all factory. The pump kicks in and the fan works. It doesn't put out cold air because it need recharged according to the mechanic.

All the instruments work including the clock, except the gas guage. It does not work becaused I replaced the gas tank that was rusted out, to a new plastic type fuel cell. It works really well, but needs to be replaced to an original tank for the serious car show buff. The judges will deduct points if not the original type. It has the original radio still intact. It works good.

The front half of the floorboards have been replaced. The floor carpet is new. The seats have been reapolstered and the headliner replaced.

The exterior includes, the bumpers have been re-chromed and much of the chrome trim has been replaced with new. The paint is a beautiful Red finish that is only 4 months old. The paint has a beautiful shine but could use being buffed again to get that really wet, slick look. Chrome wire wheels...

I have tried to describe this Jag the best that I can and as honestly as I can. I consider this jag a driver, although I have won honors in local car shows. This Jag is a head turner like it is or with a little more work it could be a great car show winner.

This Jag can be seen in Ironton, Ohio 45638.

This car no longer exists. Because of extensive rust issues, it went to the scrap heap in 2008

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
