Ebay item 3/31/15 www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-E-Type-2-2-/181705262844
Opening bid US $15,000, no reserve, no bids 6 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
1971 Jaguar XKE 2+2. Automatic transmission, Air Conditioning, Power steering, NO rust - dry car. It has been in storage since the mid 1980's. The second owner was planning to repaint the car. The paint was stripped, the chrome pieces were removed but the project stalled for over 30 years. It has 14,000 miles on the odometer so the family of the people I purchased the car from believes it has the original miles. This is a 1971 Series 2 6 cylinder car. The previous owner lubricated the cylinders periodically to keep the pistons free. It was stored in a dry garage so the bare metal has surface rust.
These photos were taken from the longtime storage location. No attempt has been made to start the car or clean it up.
All the windows and chrome pieces seem to be there.
