    Sellers description:
Crevier Classic Cars is pleased to offer this 1963 Jaguar XKE Series 1 Fixed Head Coupe.

An original California car, the XKE Fixed Head Coupe pictured here is a two owner car from new. Purchased by the original owner of Alhambra, CA in 1963 it was sold to the current owners family in 1966 and has been owned and well maintained by the current owner since. As such, it has been garage kept, maintained and properly serviced as needed. It retains its , jack, tool roll, original window sticker and owner's manual and also features the early aluminum dash and console. It retains its original numbers matching drive-train and is finished in its lovely original color combination. In addition to being documented with its original window sticker it is documented with the Jaguar Heritage Certificate verifying it as a numbers matching vehicle. Less than 2,000 miles since full rebuild of the motor the car performs wonderfully on the open road.

Above all, it is a remarkable example of the most desirable production series and offers the exhilarating motoring, race-bred performance, construction, and alluring design characteristic of Jaguar's famed E-Type.

As confirmed by its original warranty booklet, this Jaguar was delivered new on May 8, 1963 by the dealer in Long Beach, California. The car's service logbook indicates that it had covered 21,239 miles in July 1966. These valuable documents are supplemented by the importer's order form, the owner's manual and the leaflet summarizing the maintenance operations.

This elegant series 1 coupé has benefited from an old restoration with complete disassembly, as indicated by the Atelier des Coteaux. On this occasion, it was fitted with 6-inch rims, slightly widening the tracks, and improving the handling. The body is in a sound and was previously repainted in "old English white". The chrome is in good condition. The black leather upholstery has been restored and is well preserved. The original engine was obviously rebuilt in the past and is clean and leak-free during our examination. It starts well, drives well and the oil pressure is correct. The last oil change with the replacement of the filters was carried out in November 2020. The rear exhaust line is made of stainless steel and the five Vredestein Sprint Classic tires are new. A circuit breaker and a cigarette lighter socket have been fitted and a kit including a charge maintainer, a mallet, an inner tube and a modern jack complete the equipment list. This is a beautiful coupe in its most desirable version and has benefited from much work on it. The next owner can enjoy the car as much as the very first one did when acquiring the car in Long Beach in the late spring of 1963.
