In August 2004 this superb example took first place in the champion division and scoring 99.9 points at the SDJC Concours Delegance.
The vehicle was restored by previous owner with no expense spared. Over $115,000 spent on this comprehensive professional restoration and well documented with photographic. A superb restoration, excellent fit and attention to detail. It had been upgraded to 4.2 transmission with upgraded starter. Konis shock was added to front and rear. 10-1 compression engine, balanced and blueprinted.

The example presented here was the recipient of a comprehensive restoration several years ago. The previous owner reportedly spent $115,000 on the restoration and it
is well documented with photos. The workmanship is truly superb and the overall quality has held up very well. The body was taken to bare metal and repainted and assembled. During the process a few performance upgrades were performed, including the installation of a full-syncromesh gearbox (from a 4.2), upgraded starter and the installation of Koni shocks. The engine compression was increased to 10:1, then was balanced and blueprinted and all cylinders lined with stainless steel. The carburetors were rebuilt with original steel shafts and stainless steel brake lines were fitted. The wiper blades are NOS and were purchased from the AMCO museum.
In August of 2004 this superb example took first place in the champion division at the SDJC Concours with a score of 99.9 points. It is beautifully finished in British Racing green with a Biscuit interior and is fitted with five chrome wire wheels mounted on five Dunlop Road
Speed RS5 tires with tubes. The Heritage Certificate that accompanies this car reveals an August 7, 1962 build date and all Lucas fuses currently fitted are dated August 1962. Since restoration 886547 has traveled just 981 miles. The current owner has reported that the Fixed Head Coupe runs exceptionally well and will provide its next owner with a true dual-purpose car that will be not only be a pleasure to drive but a pleasure to show as well.
