I purchased this car from a private owner in Lincoln, Nebraska in 1976, and returned it to my parent's garage in Des Moines, Iowa. For the next three to four years I attempted to restore the car but it was far beyond my financial resources and mechanical ability. Plus, it had severe body damage that had been hidden under a misaligned body panel and paint job. I did not spot this upon first inspection. The needed repairs to the monocoque were beyond my budget. I decided to part the car out and bits of it were shipped from Maine to California.
