Ultra-desirable early Series 1 3.8 E-type roadster

Superbly maintained
Completed on May 2, 1962, this desirable 3.8-litre E-type roadster was - like the vast majority of E-type production - shipped across the Atlantic to North America and first sold through Jaguar Cars of New York. Finished in the same colour scheme the car presents in today, Old English White with contrasting black upholstery, the E-type was first owned by a D J Ostrum. Previously owned by Lee Thomas in Sydney, NSW from 1989 until 2014, the E-type joined the renowned Ian Cummins' collection that year and is now offered by his Estate. An older restoration, the Jaguar has been professionally converted to right-hand drive and still presents in lovely condition today, with a new set of chrome wire wheels fitted in December 2015. Currently unregistered, the car comes with an original handbook and copy of the Heritage Trust Certificate.

Car has a buy it now price of $175,000 for 20 days, car now said to be in Bateau Bay, NSW, Australia, seller robert8656, 90k miles.
Sellers description:
This early Series 1 roadster is stunning. It had undergone a correct investment quality restoration for a fastidious Jaguar club member here in Australia, and it presents very well today. It is ready for your driving enjoyment and/or investment.
According to its Jaguar heritage Certificate it was delivered to New York on May 2 1962. It was later imported to Australia in the early 1980s and converted to RHD. It has had two senior Jaguar collector owners since then.
Shipping to your nominated American port is included in a dedicated 20' container. I am an American living near Sydney with my Australian wife. We are selling this car for friends from their father's estate.

Advertised for sale on carsales.com.au 6 December 2020, asking “close to AU$230,000”. Car is located in Daisy Hill, Queensland.
www.carsales.com.au/cars/details/1962-jaguar-e-type-manual/SSE-AD-6945930/
Seller’s description: “This car was one of Ian Cummins the Racing Driver and Jaguar Dealer collection (passed away 2 years ago). The car really is too good for me to keep as I would prefer one that is driveable even if knocked about". This car has been Restored to perfection some years ago and has matching Numbers the original 1962 Specifications and has been shown at NSW club meetings and must be one of the best in Australia. I would think about a Trade as long as it is a Etype any condition.
