This is a true ground up restoration of an original classic: a 1961 Jaguar Series One Roadster. The car that lit imaginations afire when it was first introduced at the Geneva Motor Show. This is one of the earliest in existance #529 Serial #875529. E-types were produced from 1961-1975. As you can see from the pictures the car speaks for itself. This has it all. Only the Best. Show Chrome Triple plated, NOS parts, Highly polished aluminum 3.8 Liter engine, stainless exhaust, mohair convertible top, Connolly leather interior. You name it, it's got it. This is probably one of the finest E-types around.

Sellers comment:
Perfectly restored example. Several JCNA 100 point awards
This car was restored in 1988 with $120,000 invested. During the restoration, the car was stripped to bare metal, prepped and painted, the engine was rebuilt with many new components, all of the insturments were rebuilt, and a new mohair top and complete Bartlett interior were installed. The gearbox and rear end were opened, inspected and resealed.
Upon completion, the car was shown at 6 to 8 JCNA and was awarded several 100 point scores. The car was then carefully stored for the next 12 years and then sold to and shown by its new owner.
This is a great early E-Type roadster that will bring pride and pleasure to whomever purchases it.
