According to the "International Jaguar E-Type Register / Directory of Vehicles and Owners, 1986 edition" of the Jaguar Drivers Club this car was owned (1986) by Robert E. Lane from Hazlemere, High Wycombe, Great Britan, UK registrationnr. 87 GXM

I have owned 861255 for almost 36 years. I am in Australia and like the car I was an import having been born in High Wycombe, however the E was a few months old when it arrived in Adelaide, whereas I was a 25 yo backpacker.

My car was the second to have the leather centre console but is otherwise unremarkable but original in all but interior, header tank and cylinder head.

Thanhks Hughie, great to know the car is still alive and well.

Some confusion here between 861247 and 861255.

What confusion? I was born in high Wycombe and am long term keeper of 861255. 861247 was sold new in High wycombe. Just one of those coincidences.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
