I've owned 821FYR since May 1985. We've lived in Germany and Switzerland, but always on GB plates. The car is part of the family - but really never gets used. It's embarrassing to state, but I've only done 10,000 miles in it. If anyone knows the car, please e-mail me.

I owned 860800 Opal Light Blue , in 1995 . It came via a Famous E-Type Race Driver of the 60s ( he made the Papers when his Roadster Disintigrated in front of the Pits at Brands Hatch in early 65 ) I sold it as an unfinished runner to someone from Nth West London in 95 . A great Friend owned 860799 ( 777-TYD ) in the mid 70s paid circa £500 for it , had next to no oil pressure but quick and sold it for approx £200 a year later with a knackered bottom end ! Beleive 799 is now Red !

Now the new owner having bought this car off Bob (above)

The car was sitting in a barn with only half a roof on it and the cars rubbers were perished so it filled with water.

I trailered the car away and set to work...Having just spent 3 years restoring my 65 E and not using it I thought I wouldn't make the same mistake again.

So I set about pulling all the suspension and brakes apart. Powder coated everything, renewed everything and had the diff overhauled. Now all the suspension and brakes are to concours standard.

I fitted 123 ignition..rewired the engine and bonnet harness...fitted new rad..Water pump..header tank. Reconditioned all carbs....wiper motor...plus heater. Fitted new exhaust manifold and mild steel exhaust minus rear silencers.

    New painted wire wheels...new tyres.

Now fully MOT.d taxed and registered.

So this car looks like a shed but drives like new.

For sale at E Type UK of Hadlow. A matching numbers right hand drive series 1 FHC. First registered on 26 October 1962 by Henlys London. The extensive history file goes back to 1977 with the mileage meticulously recorded from 1985 to 2002 when it went into barn storage. The car was in one ownership from 1987 to 2014.

The previous owner acquired the car in 2014 and E Type UK re-commissioned the car. There was a complete rebuild of the IRS as well as other additional work to make it roadworthy. E Type UK purchased the car in January 2016 and have commissioned a full nut and bolt restoration to restore this series 1 car back to its former glory. It will be finished in Opalescent Green with a suede green trim interior.
