Auction description:
This 1964-built and therefore early E Type 3.8 roadster has been owned by the present keeper for the past twenty years. Approximately eighteen years ago, the body was restored and, although original rust-free floors were retained, both inner and outer sills, doors and bonnet were replaced. Resprayed in original Old English White, the car was Waxoyled, which may explain the current condition which is claimed still to be excellent. Navy Blue interior and mohair hood have both been renewed.

The engine has been fully rebuilt with electronic ignition, tubular stainless steel exhaust manifolding and 2 ins big-bore exhaust, the transmission uprated with all-synchromesh gearbox and brakes improved with 4-pot caliper ventilated discs. The history file contains Jaguar Heritage dating certificate, photostat of original green logbook, current V5 registration document, old MOTs since 1981, new MOT certificate valid until February of next year, and expired tax discs as well as current one.

Finished in its original combination of Cream with Blue trim, this wonderful, very late, 3.8 E-Type Roadster was supplied by us to its present owner some 10 years ago as an addition to his small, but choice, Jaguar collection. Since then the car has been maintained and intelligently upgraded exclusively by ourselves throughout this period and it is amongst the very best available on the UK market to-day.
