Monterey 16 - 17 August 2013

1963 Jaguar E-Type Series I 3.8 Roadster

Without Reserve

Chassis no. 850476

Sold for $170,500

It is a matching-numbers example that features its original 3.8-liter inline six. It is complete with its original radio, and most recently, a set of reproduction wide whitewall tires have been fitted to the stunning chrome wire wheels. Attesting to the quality of the restoration, this Jaguar was on the cover of the December 1999 to January 2000 issue of British Car magazine, where it was featured in an article on E-Type Jaguars. In addition, it is a former JCNA National First Prize winner, scoring on three occasions 100, 99.99, and 99.99 points. Quite simply, this is the perfect example for the enthusiast or collector looking to purchase one of Jaguar's sexiest creations.

That's an early 61 engine number in this car, The car has a repro tag that can have any number you wish. There is no Heritage Cert proving anything after all these JCNA high points. Why?

current engine belongs in a outside latch roadster it should have engine approx. r 4800

To Sherlock, the car must be correct for the model year but JCNA do not check numbers and as such a JDHT info has little value in judging.
