This car was restored by David Worrow who did a huge amount of research in the 1970's into the production of the early cars and had access to factory records and personnel. David's interests have now moved on but the restoration of ENO 30 was the culmination of all he learned. He says it was put back to the exact way it left the factory down to the last rivet!

I have just bought another e type (Ch. no. 850218) as I missed having one (god knows why!)

The photo attached to this is NOT of that car.

ENO 30 had and still has external bonnet catches and has always carried that number since restoration.

Mr Anthony Bamford (JCB) now owns it.

I owned this car from 1964 until 1966. I bought it from Henly's. During the time I owned it, I replaced a front wheel baring and two Hardy Spicer universal joints on the rear suspension. The tensioner of the timing chain came off and disappeared out of the sump taking the bottom of the pistons with it. The sump was repaired and six new pistons obtained and all reassembled as per the manual. With some trepidation I pressed the starter button and it fired up. Balancing the carburetors took many hours but we took it the the Monaco Grand Prix in 1965. I spun it at the gasworks hairpin but did not hit anything. It started to show signs of rust at that stage. Pleased to know that it has been renovated.
