Ebay item 7/14/05
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid $11,100.00 (Reserve not met), 8 bids, 3 days left in auction. Car is said to be located in Carnegie, Pennsylvania.
Sellers description:
This is an excellent low mileage example of the last of the six cylinder E-types! This car was produced in November, 1970, and is among the very last E-type coupes ever produced. This car has 21934 original miles. The paint is mostly original with some respraying around the rear quarters, which was done to fix a dent, I am told by the prior owner who had the car from 1988 until I purchased it in 1999. The original interior is in excellent condition, no rips, tears or worn marks on the leather or carpet. The vinyl interior trim is all excellent as is the headliner. Mechanically this car is also exceptional. Imagine buying a used 1971 E-type in 1973 or 1974 and this is what you would have bought! The engine runs strong with good oil pressure when hot. I installed the Coolcat aluminum radiator and high speed fans with updated fan blades and the car runs no hotter than the "a" in Normal on the gauge. I had it out in 95 degree weather today and that's as hot as it got! Whoever buys the car can have the original radiator, fans and blades if they want. The brake master was sleeved and rebuilt several years ago and the air conditioning components were all replaced, but the air was never charged. The tachometer quit working on the day I got the car and I never had it fixed. The speedometer and odometer work fine. The tires have minimal wear and the chrome wires are in excellent shape. The chrome on this car is like a three or four year old car, not show quality but very, very nice. The car has a stainless exhaust all the way back. If you have been looking for a low mileage, original E-type that has never been messed with then this is the car for you. It drives very tightly and can hold its own with many modern cars.

I was the owner who listed the car on Ebay. It was sold to a fellow in California the second time around. The car was shipped to him, arrived in good shape and the last I heard he was enjoying it.

Car is a wonderful original driver, 23,000 miles, paint is getting tired, but still looks good at shows. It can, and does drive at over 120mph whenever I take it out......The sound, the smell, the feel, only an old Jaguar can make you feel so good......
