This 1972 Jaguar XKE 2+2 Coupe is finished in black over a grey interior and equipped with a 5.3-liter V12 paired with an automatic gearbox. The seller acquired it from the previous owner's estate in 2017, and the car is reported to have last been driven approximately 30 years ago. It is reported to roll and the engine is said to turn over by hand, though no attempt to start the car has been made. This Series III XKE project is now being offered with a clean Wisconsin title in the seller's name.
The seller summarizes that car as a good candidate for refurbishment or restoration, and much of the glass and trim show to remain intact. Cracking is reportedly visible in the lacquer finish, as well as some small areas of surface rust.
The 30+ year old Goodyear tires show to hold air, and a set of 3-lobed wheel nuts keep the chrome wire wheels secured in place.
Trimmed in grey leather, the interior comes equipped with A/C. Part of the center console is currently disassembled, and 63k miles are shown on the 5-digit odometer.
The 5.3-liter V12 is reported to have last run in 1988, though the seller indicates that the engine turns over by hand.

Auto was sold as black in color. This was incorrect as the actual color is Dark Blue. I am currently in the process of getting the auto road worthy. Motor prepped cleaned, new rubber. Started up just fine. Many items remaining but so far so good.

Purchased the auto thru BAT. BAT stated the car was black; it's not; it's dark blue with light blue or light grey interior. Motor was not running when purchased. Gas tank lined, gas flushed, hoses replaced, all coolant hoses replaced. Motor now running. Front suspension joints replaced. Radiator replaced with new high efficiency and capacity radiator. Rear suspension assembly removed, rebuilt and ready for reinstall. Can't wait for the road test.
