This Jaguar E-Type Series 3 is described by the vendor as a good original example with desirable wire wheels and a manual gearbox. The previous owner dry stored this vehicle for over 20 years. Since the vendor has owned the car, it was recommissioned in 2016, but due to a change of circumstances has been dry stored at the Haynes Motor Museum since 2017. Haynes has undertaken extensive mechanical work totalling over £4,500 including a complete rebuild and balancing of all carburettors, a new exhaust manifold and mountings, new gearbox mountings, new fuel hoses and clips, new petrol pump, new water pump and new front brake callipers.
The vendor states that this is a completely original car, including the interior which is in fantastic condition. There is some welding required on the sills and lower bulk head to finish the recommission. Unfortunately, due to the current owners health, this is not possible, and as a result he will be sadly parting with this lovely car.
