Owner's Comments / Article Text:
You are looking at a 1969 Jaguar XKE 4.2 2+2. This is far from your ordinary car. This car is one of most sought after and collectible cars in the world. This is a car that has a special history and a very large following. I simply don't know where to start describing this incredible car. Whether to talk about a complete, frame-off, no expense spared restoration that was done in 1994, it's absolutely immaculate condition or the history of Jaguar XKE. This car has 10,183 original miles! Keep in mind that this is a 34 year old car. This would average to being driven less than 300 miles per year!!! This car was completely restored in 1994. The restoration was a no budget, blank check. The entire car was disassembled to nuts and bolts and then put together. All the bolts were cadmium plated as can be seen in the pictures. It was then stored and garaged. It has been driven only 350 miles since then. As you can tell from the pictures, a tremendous amount of money, labor and skill was spent to bring this car to where it is today. The paint shines as if it was 1969 and the car had just rolled out of the Jaguar showroom. The interior is in excellent condition. No rips, tears or cracks in the soft leather, dashboard is free of cracks and fading. The air-conditioning and heater systems work great which is amazing as well. The car has a Blaupunkt stereo installed as well as ADS/Blaupunkt speakers. Car runs and drives beautifully.
