Current bid $8,510 (Reserve not met), 10 bids, 10 hours left in auction.

Sellers comment:
You will definitely benefit from savings by this vehicle not being a one-owner We have been unable to determine if the odometer reflects the actual mileage of this vehicle. There does not seem to be any signs of any prior damage on this vehicle. There is no current collision damage to this vehicle. The vehicle displays a few dings and scratches around the exterior, adding some quality character to this otherwise fine automobile. The previous owner did not keep this vehicle garaged. The transmission is working fine, but it does shift a little roughly. With a little work this engine will run like a top. All the electric circuits in this vehicle appear to be in working order This vehicle is priced right for its minor problems, please. There is the expected amount of exerior wear on a vehicle of this age. The interior of this vehicle could use a little work. There is still some cruising time left before thinking about replacing the tires.

Current bid $5.2k (Reserve not met), 3 bids, 4 days left in auction.

Previous auction was ended early with the note the car "was no longer available". That auction was based from Mountain Home, Arkansas as were all of the above previous auctions. This auction is based in Orange, CA.

Comment from seller in above auction:
This is a very nice 1969 XKE in powder blue. This car runs and drives great. It has a very strong engine with good oil pressure. The transmission shifts very smoothly and is a good daily driver. This Jag is very mechanically sound. The Vin plate numbers are as follows: Engine# 7R4141-9 Gearbox# KE5451 Body# 4R20944. This car is good as is, but it could be great with a little cosmetic attention. The paint still has luster and the leather interior is in good condition with the exception of a few rips in the drivers seat. All chrome is in good condition. The chrome spoke wheels are in good condition except for some peeling of chrome in the center. The bonnett is in great condition. The overall body is in good condition, but does have a scrape on the passenger side door, which I have shown in the photos along with some dings and scratches here and there. Most rust appears to be surface rust. There is some light rust around battery box and I did notice a 2-3 inch area rusted through on the passenger floorboard. All in all, this is a very nice series II, which would be an excellent platform for total restoration.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
